Our role at Food rEvolution, 1st and foremost is to empower underrepresented ownership within food, because ownership drives empowered citizens and community engagement, which drives the change and shift needed in the status quo to create fair and equal footing across the board. At this moment the empowerment needed in our ever so amazing democracy is the empowered vote.

Facts: Voter turnout is low and underrepresented voting is lower
Turnout has decreased to 62% in 2016 from 68% in 2008. While the gap in white voter turnout, 64%, and minority voting 52% has increased to 12%.
Youth voting rose while rising is still very low with only 49% voting.
